Kloud — Privacy

Last updated 21 September 2026

Kloud is a private family photograph archive. The app copies photographs and videos from your phone to a server you control, whose address you type in yourself. It is not a service we run for you.

What leaves your phone

The photographs and videos you choose to send, and the album names they belong to, are uploaded to that server. Nothing else leaves the device, and nothing is sent to the app’s authors or to anyone else.

What the app stores

On the phone: an access token for your server, held in the iOS keychain, and a list of which photographs have already been sent so they are not sent twice. On the server: the photographs, and the account you signed in as.

What we do not do

No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party services, and no collection of your location, contacts or usage. The app makes no network connection to any address other than the server you configured.

Keeping and deleting

Your photographs remain on your server until you delete them there. Deleting the app removes the access token and the local list from the phone; ask your server’s administrator to remove your account and its contents.

Children

Kloud is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
